Librairie l'Audacieuse
An independent feminist and eco-engaged bookstore in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, France
For Librairie L’Audacieuse, an independent feminist and eco-engaged bookstore in Ambérieu-en-Bugey, I developed a bold and warm brand identity rooted in voice, community and cultural activism.
The project goes beyond a logo. It explores how a bookstore can embody audacity — not as provocation, but as generosity, openness and intellectual courage. The identity balances strong typographic choices with a soft, welcoming tone. Feminine, but not fragile. Radical, but accessible.
Alongside the visual system, I helped shape the communication framework:
A recurring newsletter format combining events, partnerships and “coups de cœur”
A modular structure to highlight monthly “Audacieuses” (women to celebrate and remember)
Clear call-to-action moments for events and community engagement
A tone that feels intimate, direct and inclusive
The newsletter content includes literary events such as a talk with Wendy Delorme, thematic collaborations with the city (e.g. World Breastfeeding Week), and carefully curated book recommendations .
The result is a living identity system: adaptable across print, social media and events, while staying coherent and recognisable. A bookstore that doesn’t just sell books, but hosts conversations.
