Eerst een Huis

Home first

Utrecht has around 570 homeless people. However, a large group remains unnoticed. The Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) estimates the number to be as high as 1,880. Currently, the path to recovery is often long and difficult, leading to personal suffering, high healthcare costs, and other societal issues. The largest 'housing first' project in the Netherlands provides housing as a foundation for the rest. More than 200 homeless individuals are being given their own home. They are being given a chance. A real chance. A foundation to rebuild their lives. A place of their own to take on the world.
